About Us

Kris and I started learning Rock'nRoll in the early 90's, and after some time, participated in several successful competitions. After two years we decided to assist in class and soon after we decided to take out a franchise and commence classes at Camden and Picton Bowling Clubs.

The style we teach is "Six Step", or Tap Step, original 50's, Rock'n'Roll.

We Also Teach West Coast Swing, Cha Cha & a Style that we call, Step Rock

Over the years we have trained students from as young as seven years old to "mature" age!
Some of our students have successfully participated in dance competitions around the state. Many of our dancers have attended dance demonstrations, including being extras in movie shots, half time entertainment at the Rugby League Grand Final and Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Towards the end of 2000 we felt it time to break out on our own, and with a little bit of encouragement from our "old" students, Big Als Rock'n'Roll Dance Studio was formed in January 2001.

Since that time the studio has grown in numbers and in spirit. We have performed for , WS FM 101.7 Juke Box Saturday Night Live, which did the Club circuit, & the opening of "Grease the Musical" at The Entertainment Centre in May 05.  Late December 2004 saw two of our students winning a Rock’n’Roll Dance Competition with a first prize of $30,000.

Big Als Rock'n'Roll, continue to entertain crowds, performing at the majority, of major events in the Macarthur Area. ie. Camden & Campelltown Shows, Mayoral Ball, 50's & Collectable Fair (fund raiser) Mc Happy Day & many more. We boast having an excellent Demonstration Team, who just love too perform, and do it well.

We organise social activities, such as, Weekend Trips, Rock'nRoll Harbour Cruises & Social Dance Nights

Our goal is to teach you to dance while having as much fun as possible.

Remember...
